We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with our daughter Renee and 3 of her children. This is beautiful Oslo from the Holmenkollen Ski Jump. Last week our Senior Couples gathered in Oslo for a few days. We were able to be taught by President Hill, discuss important mission issues, share ideas, and get to know each other better. Our couples bless the members and the missionaries with their goodness and willingness to serve in Norway.
A weekend in Haugesund/Rogaland County…
Does this look familiar? This beautiful bronze bas relief is a replica of the Handcart Pioneers Monument on Temple Square The original was sculpted by Torleif Knaphus, a convert from Norway who immigrated to Utah. The replica sits in Knaphus, Norway, about 40 miles from Haugesund. There is a plaque next to the Shell Gas Station to honor his memory….

We held our MLC in the mission home this week. It is a little challenging to squeeze everyone in but worth the effort. We try to invite missionaries to our home as often as we can.
