We combined a visit to see our missionaries in Narvik/Harstad with a p-day excursion to the Lofoten Islands. The weather was cold and a little damp, but we were fortunate the rain stayed away. The scenery in Norway never disappoints. Enjoy!
We visited the charming fishing village of Henningsvaer….
and went on a fjord boat trip where we watched white tailed sea eagles “go fishing” (note the fish in his talons)
The most famous photo location on the Lofoten Islands is in Reine….
We helped Sister Robinson with some family history. Her ancestors were taught by missionaries and were baptized near Harstad. Some of them attended this beautiful church.
And the highlight was attending church and visiting with these wonderful branch members…
Our wonderful missionaries have recently moved from Narvik to Harstad. We are renting the Seventh Day Adventest Church building for our Sunday meetings. Elder Sadler (left) and Martineau (center) and a branch member…
Our travel buddies outside the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Harstad….Elder and Sister Hill, Elder and Sister Gormley, Elder and Sister Robinson, and us. It was a wonderful few days in the North.
