On Wednesday we welcomed a wonderful new elder to our mission. Elder Top is Norwegian and is waiting for a visa to serve in Angola. He came with his family to the mission home and spent a few hours with us before saying goodbye. We were soon on our way to deliver him to his first area and two waiting companions. It was a wonderful morning.
Later that afternoon Sister Smith arrived from Trondheim. She has finished her mission and even extended 30 extra days. We took her to our favorite restaurant and then to the mission home. They are working on the train tracks so train travel is difficult in Oslo right now. Her mom and sisters were coming on a train from Bergen…we made a quick decision..had them get off at the Asker Station and we picked them up at 11:00 p.m in a downpour. Sister Smith commented that this was not the reunion that she had envisioned…in a dark train station, late at night….but it was sweet regardless and she is off to see Norway with them. We love you Sister Smith! Ha det bra!

Thank you so much for a wonderful morning. We feel confident our son will have a wonderful experience in Norway – on his way to Angola.
