We were happy/sad that three great Elders finished their missions and headed home this week. They all extended one transfer so we had bonus time with them! They were wonderful missionaries and we will miss them.
Elder Allen, Elder Edwards, and Elder Jensen.
Singing the mission song….
With the AP’s…
I told them to put their heads together….
Elder Parkinson, Elder Allen and President Hill.
No words….what a team!
Elder Edwards first root beer float!
5:00 a.m. airport run!
A few weeks ago we brought Elder Rolfson into the mission home and gave hime a new assignment. Svalbard Archipelago is every missionaries dream destination. It is remote island chain to the north of Norway inhabited mainly by polar bears. Really though…we are excited to have him serving as an AP with Elder Parkinson.
Learning to drive the big blue bus!
Our Friday WEB X call to all the district leaders. Trying something new!
Elder Kemp and Elder Daly are District leaders in Oslo so they got a front row seat.
Picture in your minds San Diego to Seattle…. Norway is that long and our missionaries could be a thousand miles apart. The WEB X brought us together in our office in Oslo for an hour! We love technology!
We drove to Fredrickstad to attend a Fall Ward party.
This is Swedish. It’s a sandwich cake and it was delicious!
Sister Gates and Sister Leland played their violins! Always a treat!
This is a little blurry…Sister Rogers and Sister Smith sang! We have lots of missionaries with musical talent.
Tusen Tusen Takk President and Sister Hill for the great work you and your Elders are doing in Norway. Your Blog is wonderful and brings back many memories about Norway and mission life. The Elders and sister missionaries really love you. It is so great to receive weekly letters from Eldste Jacob Rolfson and see his testimony grow. He has a great Norwegian heritage—4th great grandmother, Gjertrude Rolfsen baptized in Risør, Norway 1853, 3rd great grand Uncle, Jacob Rolfsen served a mission to Norway 1877, and his grandfather Don Rolfsen served a mission to Norway 1961.
Keep up the great work and Dere må har det bra. Takk for nå. Beste Hilsen, Don and Nadine Rolfsen.
