We traveled to Stavanger on Friday afternoon. It was a beautiful drive! Our son Chad and his wife came from London. The weather was perfect! We joined them for a hike on Saturday morning to Preikestolen (pulpit rock). The hike is 2.4 miles on a rocky path. It is quite challenging to watch your feet every step of the way. Chad, Mairin and Mairin’s brother Chris hiked to the top but we decided that we would enjoy a safe hike to the halfway point and then a leisurely return trip to the bottom. We arrived early and began hiking @ about 8:30. It was not too crowded going up but by the time Tracy and I started back down there was a steady steam of people headed to the top. We had timed our hike perfectly.
I am reminded of the primary song that says…”I am glad that I live in this beautiful world, Heavenly Father created for me….” We are so blessed to be able to live and serve in Norway. There is beauty around every corner.
